This past weekend a friend whom I met from Jeana (mommy of twins) was in a horrible accident and passed away after being taken off of life support.

She was the mother of two boys, and a good friend to anyone who knew her. She was always the life of the party, pretty, smiling, & compassionate to all living things.

I worry so much for everyone she has left behind. Her friends that need her & her family that will never be the same without her.

We all know things will never be the same.

I can hear someone at a party in Jeana's house saying "wheres Keri"?
I don't think anyone is ready for that, but I hope that we can all be stronger and realize how fast & unexpected a life can be lost.

At the airport in Boise I bought some Mexican Jumping Beans at one of the stores.
Molly tried to eat one last night & Kevin asked what I thought would happen if he set one on fire.
So now I have the beans in hiding.

ESCROW closed today & I am soooooooo HAPPY

Thought you would be interested in knowing that the Hermit Crab is a cross dresser. Maybe it is normal ..... I brought him home from Pamper Me last night & left him in the kitchen. I woke up in the middle of the night to get something to drink & he was walking around in a different shell.

This morning he is back to his usual green one, but I know he has to be getting too small for it .... I think I have had him for AT least 2 years & he belonged to 2 other people besides me.

I tried to take a pic but it didnt turn out.

So -- the girl deposited her escrow check (FINALLY) into escrow yesterday.
The escrow person is still working on a few things ... like releases from the state board and blah blah ... personally which I think is a bunch of BS. Seriously i think shes trying to drag this out till the end of the month.
Anyhow ESCROW should close today or tomorrow. If it doesnt I am going to come UNGLUED.
This whole process has made me a very crazy person. Hopefully I will be a normal person soon.
Please be patient with me.

The girl was at the salon today from 1 to about 4
Talk about stressful. Anyways she has signed a lease starting the 15th. Escrow was SUPPOSED to close on the 15th, but it looks like it might not. Anyways today she was informing me that she hasn't gotten her business license, tax resale license or her business bank acocunt which means she can't get an account to use the credit card machine.
What is going on here ??????????????? Agggggggggggggggggggggg

Well, I thought 8.08.08 was supposed to be lucky. Not the case for us.
We saw and heard about a nasty storm on the way to the river. When we got there the rain was coming down so hard that we were soaked just from walking into the house from the car. There were natural washes everywhere & one went into our jacuzzi ... we learned that they float when in enough water & also break this way.

It also brought out alot of nasty scorpions the next day.

I will be at the river hiding. Uggggggggggggggggg hopefully only 8 more days till the tanning salon is OUT of my hands.
I have been such a stressed out MANIAC.



After I get through tomorrow (Friday) and Wendall works Saturday & Sunday I will have to complete the week working Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday & escrow SHOULD close FRIDAY. When & If it does i will be soooooooooooooooooo HAPPY !!!! Of course just like any escrow deal she can back out ..... which drives me CRAZY just thinking about it. I need to move on with my life ... LIKE now!!

First of all I bought a smoker. So my mission for this weekend was to smoke a turkey. Kevin set up our easy up and kiddie pool in the backyard on Friday so we were ready to go on Saturday. Unfortunately we stayed up a little later than planned on Friday & the last thing I felt like doing was getting the smoker ready on Saturday but I managed.

I put the turkey on at about 9 am. We hung out with Kevin's friend Chris all day drinking beverages from a can & having snacks of guacamole and chips. The turkey was finished at about 6:30. We had the turkey with a Caesar salad bean soup that I had made in the Crok Pot that day. I ended up taking a nap & Kevin did too. Somewhere in between Chris sneaked out of the house.

The turkey was so good! It was alot more work than a turkey in the oven but it was so much better.

My mom called me today to let me know that my sister is in the hospital with her baby. I think he has some type of respiratory issues. Lori if your reading call me when your not busy !!
Other than that not much else going on. No pics to post.

So for this past Christmas Santa gave me a camcorder. I thought it was so cool that I could record practically as much as I want without having to upload anything anytime soon. Well, now about 8 months later I am trying to figure out how to burn my videos onto DVD's. I practiced editing and everytime I did I wasn't able to burn the movie onto a DVD. I have given up and I am now trying to organize what should be record on which DVD. So LAME. I guess life could be worse.

On a happier note ... we leave for Pismo Beach tomorrow night. We need to get our trailer back out there in storage before the neighbors have a cow. It will be just Kevin, the dogs & I.

My crappiest part of tomorrow is that the lady who SAYS she wants to buy the tanning salon is coming in to "see how things work", or watch me work ??!!! Who knows. I am so over her. I wish she would just get it overwith.

Other than all of that ........not much else going on. For some reason it feels like this has been a very long dragged out year. Not like I am looking forward to getting any older next year.

Well I better get back to my laundry & dvd burning.

So I am sure you have all heard the very sad news that Jo has passed away.

She passed away June 25th 3 days after John.

There will be a viewing and memorial service.

I was advised that there will be a obituary in the Daily Breeze the weekend before the funeral.
The viewing is on July 15th from 3 - 8 & the funeral is July 16th at 11am @ Green Hills Mortuary and Chapel on Western.

Ok some of you might not think this is funny ... it may be one of those "you had to be there" things.

Anyways ... on vacation our girl dog likes to be dominant with the male dog. When we go camping she does it constantly. It is kind of embarassing. One time our niece Ashley saw them doing this and asked if they were fighting. Uncle Kevin relpied "no they are just giving piggy back rides".

Kind of weird kind of funny kind of gross. I laugh everytime they do this and Ashley say's "Look Look they are giving piggy back rides".

Yes we are sick people.

Did I forget to mention that Uncle Kevin was in the pirate show? Well, it was the FUNNIEST thing I have ever seen .... Kevin in his pirate hat and vest.

Carolyn's husband died this afternoon. He hadn't been doing well since he had recently had surgery to remove a lung, but just a few days ago he was able to stand up for the first time. His health rapidly declined this morning and the doctor had informed Carolyn that he only had an hour to live.

I feel so bad for her. I know that she is out there (Colorado) all by herself, and her mom is in hospice care also dying. I can't even imagine what she is going through right now. Everything that is going on is so terrible. All that we can do is hope that everyone else stays healthy and nothing terrible happens to anyone else.

Ok So I have been unbelievably STRESSED out.

I am TRYING to sell the tanning salon & I have an interested buyer.
She visits ALL of the time and I feel like I am walking on eggshells.
It seems like everytime she comes in I have one of my nagging pesky customers there who like to complain and make me look bad. Today I have to see her again to give her a signed contract & get into some more issues regarding taxes.
I am so over dealing with this. If she changes her mind I am going to be so irritated. Although if all goes well she will be the new owner August 1st so please keep your fingers crossed !!



Most Importantly Grandma O'Dell is in the hospital. We were informed 2 days ago that she was in the hospital and given a heart medication that once taken off of she was going to pass away. Fortunately she has not & when we saw her last night she seemed to be stronger. It is VERY strange to see how people act when somoene is dying. She is still "sharp as a tack" and remembers everything.




I tried to call Heather last night on our way to the hospital as we passed by her house and it looked like they were having a party. I was going to inform her that the rest of the family now knows where she lives because they were ALL in the car with us. Why didnt you answer your phone Heather ??? !!!!!



Other than that not much else happening. I did geta hair cut and I now have bangs. When I find my camera I will take a picture. I will also try to take one with my phone .... that way I can practice all day long at work taking pictures of myself.

It should be exciting. I was looking at the pics on line and it seems pretty cool.

1 LARGE can of tomatoes (do not drain)
1 SMALL can of diced green chiles
4 Garlic cloves (the recipe calls for 1)
1 Bunch of Cilantro
5 Green Onions
1 Jalapeno (if its just me and Kevin I add 3)

Pinch or so of Salt & Pepper

Today I went to Linen & Things and bought new dishes (which I really didn't need, but really wanted)

And a nifty smoker that you use in your barbeque.

Oh yes & these wonderful glasses ....

I dont usually buy this many things at once or very often, but it sure felt goood, and I am very happy with my purchases.

Now I need to hustle tomorrow at work so I can pay some billls !!!
